The project leader’s primary scope is to

Lead all phases of projects from design to implementation including specifications, development, testing, implementation, and rollout
Serve as the BI architect for all new business intelligence solutions.
Be proficient in Cognos v8.x and Cognos Planning
Make recommendations for continuous improvements to BI reporting infrastructure and processes.

Work in conjunction with the central team in Paris in developing and implementing BI solutions
Maintain consistency with the Business intelligence roadmap
Work with external vendors on providing solutions that are consistent with standards.
Provide support for existing reporting applications
Provide a secure and efficient operations environment

The project leader must have a thorough understanding of data warehousing / business intelligence applications and tools, systems development life cycle, and project management.

PROJECTS

q For approved project or system enhancement, evaluate request and recommend appropriate solution.

q Prepare analysis and design deliverables and overall project plan.

q Coordinate requested changes with the central team counterparts for global reporting solutions

q Coordinate and oversee development performed by third party vendor resources

q Develop solution test plan and data quality assurance validation

q Prepare rollout and cutover plan

q Manage and prioritize open production issues and problem resolutions for local reporting applications

q Ensure data consistency across BI solutions and with source transaction systems

q Coordinate with infrastructure team for implementation and support of all BI applications.

q Address production issues in a timely and efficient manner: Follow-up to ensure requests are addressed within service level agreement timeframe.

q Provide off hour support during peak business activity periods.

This is a �hands on� position where the person will be expected to dive into the requirements of the Quality Engineering department, and design and develop manual and automated regression tests to be implemented in a new platform. It is expected that the candidate in this position will work with Software Development groups, QE Automation Engineers, as well as in-house and over-seas contracted personnel. The candidate will have strong lab management skills, possessing the ability to configure servers at the hardware and software levels. Solid communications and project management skills will be required. The person must satisfy required experience and must be passionate about staying current with the latest test automation tools on the market, as well as constantly striving to apply the latest in enhancement techniques into the IPC test automation platforms. RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing a cost effective, long-term automation strategy promoting reusable components, low maintenance costs, high efficiency and scalability. The applications span ecommerce, mobile distribution, artist websites, social networking, media streaming, and more.

Job duties:
The Web Technology developer is responsible for developing and maintaining several web based applications within the direct to consumer services group..

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Web Technology Developer responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:

• Server side web development
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC
• Participate in media technology discussions and rapidly prototype new concepts
• Communicate with m3rd party providers and media services concerning developing new technologies
• Extend and manage a highly dynamic distributed computing environment used to power direct-to-consumer applications as well as internally focused tools

Environment:
